Hi.

Dan Gibbins, Keith Kollee, Ian Pond, and Devin Warne are a group of people burdened by continuous creative impulses, which they've chosen to weaponize to entertain you, the people.

Recovered takes a drive with Death Race

Recovered takes a drive with Death Race

Dan and Keith speed into the far flung future year of 2000 as envisioned by 1975, for the dystopic blood sport of Death Race 2000. Car-based gladiators slaughter their way through a cross-country race of miles and mayhem in a world dominated by the cruelty of minority rule fascism, where the resistance can't stop fighting each other long enough to make a difference, people are weirdly okay with Nazis, and the only unbelievable part is the notion that David Carradine is the sexy one in the cast. Then jump forward to the Unspecified Future as Death Race gets remade with the only star suitable to this much car-based ultraviolence, Jason Statham, in a new, modern blood sport dystopia that suggests maybe the US for-profit prison system has some flaws. Turns out there is a lot more to unpack than you'd think as we dig into the Death Races. Grab your navigator and strap in, it's a bumpy ride.
